Here's Puffing Billy 2'6" guage railway's (Victoria Australia) restored Class B Climax as running in the early 1990's. This loco was originally ordered by the Forests Commission of Victoria in 1926, possibly the last loco from the Climax MF Co. Corry Pennsylvania, USA. This loco was donated to the Puffing Billy Railway in 1965 and after cosmetic restoration was displayed as a static exhibit in PB museum for 20 years. Eventually it was restored to operating condition and ran in steam in 1988, it operated for about ten years until taken out of service pending major boiler work. Since then after a long period the boiler has been rebuilt recently and this delightful Climax will soon be back in service. I shot this video in the early 1990's on a 1st generation Sony 8 handycam (no steady cam at that time) and no hassles from OH&S in those days as seen from some of my viewpoints.
